Demo note: every screenshot and the GIF in this post come from a demo store — the default Hyvä Theme storefront with Magento sample data — not from a real Claspwell customer.
Shopper-facing chat on a Magento store has one job: help someone find the right product without making them leave the page or fight the layout. We've reworked the Claspwell storefront widget around that job. Here's what changed and what it looks like on a Hyvä storefront.

A quiet launcher that stays out of the way
When the chat is closed, Claspwell is a slim vertical "Chat" tab on the right edge of the page. The storefront, its navigation and the hero stay fully visible.

The chat opens as a centred window
Click the tab and the assistant opens as a centred window over a dimmed page, rather than a narrow box squeezed into a corner. Product cards get room to breathe, and the shopper's attention is on one thing.
The header shows the store view it's answering for (in the demo, "Default Store View · en_US") and a plain disclaimer: "AI assistant — product details may vary. Confirm on the product page before purchase." The opening line tells the shopper what it can do: check a SKU, product type or requirement against the connected catalog.

Suggestion chips to get started (and keep going)
Not every shopper knows how to phrase a first question. The opening screen offers starter chips — in the demo, Find a product by use case, Look up a SKU and Shipping & returns. After an answer, follow-up chips appear under the results (for example Similar items or Go to cart), so the next step is one tap away.
Product cards from your synced catalog
Ask "show me bags" and the assistant answers with a row of product cards: image, name, price and an action button, plus a result count and a Browse category link that drops the shopper into the matching Magento category.
These cards aren't generated text. Claspwell resolves the Magento category first, then returns real products from your synced catalog — not a crawl of your HTML. Low-confidence turns fall back instead of guessing. For configurable products, cards show the configurable parent with a From price where variant prices differ.

Add to cart from the chat
Each card has a "+" button. In the demo build, tapping it adds the product to the Magento cart without leaving the conversation — the cart icon in the store header updates to show the item.

Built for Hyvä (and Luma)
The widget is a deferred Alpine.js script — no heavy React island — so it fits the way Hyvä storefronts are built and is designed to keep Core Web Vitals intact. Everything you see above is running on the default Hyvä Theme. Luma installs are also in scope for guided onboarding.
Beyond the catalog
Not every question is about a product. B2B and technical questions — compatibility, documentation, policies — can be answered from a curated knowledge base that we seed with you during install.
How to get it on your store
Claspwell isn't a one-click install. You request integration, we review fit and run a short discovery call, then we install the Magento module with you: store key and origin, attribute mapping, first catalog sync and knowledge-base seeding. Install is included, with no setup invoice, and typically takes 3 days to 1 week once access is ready.
