Hyvä shipped its autumn release, Hyvä Equinox, on October 12 and 13, 2026. It touches every product: Hyvä Commerce and Hyvä Enterprise 1.4.0, Hyvä Checkout and Hyvä Theme 1.5.3. Here is what changed, and what a Magento 2 merchant should look at first.
The five headline features
According to the Equinox release page, these five are included in Hyvä Commerce and Hyvä Enterprise:
- Linked Products. Separate products connected through shared attributes such as colour or size, each keeping its own page and URL, with linked choices on the product page.
- Category Merchandiser. Arrange which products shoppers see first in a category, using a visual grid, drag and drop or exact positions.
- Form Builder. Enquiry, feedback and request forms built in the Hyvä CMS editor, with multi-step forms and webhook delivery.
- Email and newsletter templates. Transactional emails and newsletters designed visually in Hyvä CMS, with previews and test sends.
- AI Content Generation (experimental). Generate a page or section from a brief, then review and edit it in Hyvä CMS. Hyvä notes that it needs configured AI integrations and provider credentials, and that provider usage charges apply.
The Hyvä Commerce changelog lists the new modules behind this, including AI Worker 1.0.0, AI Worker CMS 1.0.0, Advanced Admin Permissions 1.0.0 and Store Credit 1.0.0.
Adobe Commerce: a dedicated Hyvä Enterprise package
For Adobe Commerce stores, 1.4.0 is the first release of the dedicated hyva-themes/enterprise metapackage, per the Hyvä Enterprise changelog. Hyvä Checkout 1.1.0 for Adobe Commerce adds support for customer custom attributes and Gift Registry at checkout.
Hyvä Checkout and Hyvä Theme 1.5.3
Hyvä Checkout gains support for Magewire v3, reCAPTCHA on checkout login and better address handling. The Hyvä Theme 1.5.3 changelog adds a few changes worth knowing before you upgrade:
- The cart page and mini cart now use the same item order, controlled by a new "Show Newest Items First" setting that defaults to Yes. Previously the mini cart showed newest first and the cart page oldest first.
- Support for the Hyvä Font API, so fonts configured in hyva.config.json are generated into the theme.
- Structured data for MSRP products with a hidden price now includes the actual Offer price.
- Fixes from a WCAG 2.2 accessibility audit, and CSP-safe fixes for advanced search and shared wishlists in the CSP theme.
What to check before you upgrade
- If customers or support scripts refer to cart item order, check the new newest-first default and set it the way you want.
- If you plan to try AI Content Generation, budget for the AI provider usage and keep a human review step, since Hyvä marks it experimental.
- If you switch to Linked Products, test anything that reads your catalog: feeds, search, analytics and any storefront assistant. Products that used to be options of one item become separate products with their own URLs.
- Run your usual staging pass for custom checkout steps, especially if you move to Magewire v3.
Upgrade timing is also a good moment to catch up on security. Adobe published security bulletin APSB26-153 on October 13, 2026 for Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source, so plan the Hyvä upgrade together with the October core patch.
Where Claspwell fits
Claspwell is a catalog-aware AI sales assistant for Magento 2 and Hyvä. It answers shoppers from your synced catalog, not from generated page copy, so it sits next to Hyvä's new content tools rather than replacing them. Installation typically takes 3 days to 1 week once scope and access are ready. See how the Magento 2 AI chatbot works, or request an integration.
